My first experience with yoga was in 2009. At that time, I had earned my bachelor and was working as a Speech and Language Therapist in a Mental Health clinic in Athens. After a long day at work, my body felt stiff and heavy. My mind felt like a space crowded with thoughts and my energy was drained-I felt so yucky!
Yoga helped me return to myself at the end of the day, where I was able to discover my own sacred space again and connect to my inner self. From the first moments on my yoga mat, I learned to observe my breathing and the movement of my body as I transitioned from one asana to another. I gradually learned how to observe the flow of energy through my body, while noticing the flow of thoughts through my mind. This taught me the art of consciousness, and I would often catch myself – whether at work, while driving or while socialising – that I would spontaneously apply the fruits of yoga in my daily life… I even managed to lose weight!
It became a philosophy for me – a way of being and it was the need for involution that lead me to earning my 200 hr training in Shiva Rea’s Prana Vinyasa Flow.
As a yoga teacher, I love offering people the guidance to connect to their inner selves, to discover new aspects of themselves, while enjoying a beautiful stretch of the mind, body and spirit. Namaste.
